FINDINGS Figure 119-1. Axial T2WI through the basal ganglia. There is lack of clear visualization of the internal capsules and possible fusion of all of the deep gray matter (GM) nuclei (stars). DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS Zellweger syndrome, bilateral perisylvian syndrome, congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV), infantile Refsum disease.


DIAGNOSIS Zellweger syndrome.
