Clinical Presentation
The patient is a 69-year-old woman, an ex-smoker, who is not diabetic and has a serum creatinine level of 2.5 mg/dL.
(A) Nonselective digital subtraction arteriogram (DSA) of the abdominal aorta with carbon dioxide shows severe ostial stenosis of both renal arteries (white arrows). The patient is a candidate for stent placement with carbon dioxide used as a contrast agent. (B)
