Case 193
Case History
A 68-year-old woman had right lumpectomy and radiation therapy 7 years ago for breast cancer. She now presents with new red skin lesions on the incision site.
Physical Examination
• right breast: three red quarter-sized lesions around the healed lumpectomy scar
• left breast: normal exam
Mammogram (Fig. 193–1)
Figure 193–1. There is ill-defined increased density and coarsening of the trabecular pattern of the right breast consistent with previous radiation therapy. No mass corresponding to the skin abnormalities is identified. Left breast is normal. (A). Right MLO mammogram. (B). Left MLO mammogram. (C). Right CC mammogram. (D). Left CC mammogram.
