DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS Japanese encephalitis, West Nile virus encephalitis, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), bacterial meningitis, acute poliomyelitis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and multiple sclerosis (MS).
DIAGNOSIS West Nile virus encephalitis.
