Clinical Presentation
An adult man in whom severe respiratory distress developed 36 hours after he received a left lung transplant.
Imaging Findings

(A, B) Computed tomography of the chest demonstrates extensive ground-glass parenchymal opacity diffusely involving the newly transplanted left lung (arrows). Postoperative left-sided subcutaneous emphysema is also present.
