
Clinical Presentation
A 26-year-old man with a history of lymphoma presents for restaging.

Coronal, sagittal, axial, and MIP images from FDG-PET demonstrate diffusely increased uptake in the entire visualized marrow distribution.
Differential Diagnosis
• Benign marrow stimulation: Homogeneous, intensely increased uptake in the axial and proximal appendicular skeleton (red marrow) diffusely makes this the most likely diagnosis.
• Widespread osseous tumor: This can look similar if severe, but uptake will usually be more heterogeneous.
