FINDINGS Figure 48-1. Sagittal non-contrast T1WI. There is a well-defined 1-cm mass in the expected location of the pituitary stalk (arrow). It is isointense with the brain. DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS Pituicytoma, pituitary adenoma, optic nerve glioma, meningioma, lymphocytic hypophysitis, pituitary metastasis, neurosarcoidosis.
DIAGNOSIS Pituicytoma.
