Clinical Presentation
A young child with a history of bloody diarrhea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and acute renal failure.
A longitudinal sonogram of the right kidney demonstrates hyperechogenicity of the upper and middle portions of the right kidney (arrows), without evidence of obstruction. The left kidney (not shown) also demonstrated areas of increased echogenicity.
