Clinical Presentation
An 88-year-old woman reports chest pain after chest biopsy.
(A) Frontal chest radiograph shows a small-to-moderate left apical pneumothorax (arrow). (B) Because of the symptoms of chest pain, a chest tube is placed (arrow) and connected to a one-way valve (arrowhead). (C) Reduction in size (arrow). (D) Small pneumothorax (arrow) remained stable despite clamping of chest tube. The tube was removed, and stability was verified with follow-up radiographs.
