Clinical Presentation
A 47-year-old woman with breast cancer and a history of cord compression presents with pelvic cramping.
(A) Lateral projection during a double-contrast barium enema shows widening of the presacral space (arrows), effacement and narrowing of a long segment of rectosigmoid colon (arrowheads), and marked, diffuse sclerosis of the bones, consistent with metastatic disease from the known breast cancer. (B) Frontal projection shows persistence of the rectosigmoid stenosis (arrowheads) and an irregular mucosal pattern of the affected segment.
