Clinical Presentation

A 54-year-old man presents with fever, abdominal pain, weight loss, and malaise.

Conventional aortogram shows innumerable small aneurysms involving branches of the hepatic, splenic, and mesenteric arteries (arrows).

Differential Diagnosis

• Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN)
  
• For multiple microaneurysms of the visceral arteries, include other vasculitides, such as systemic lupus erythematosus and Wegener’s granulomatosis, as well as amphetamine abuse (“speed kidney”).
