The PET scan suggests granulomatous reaction of surgical scar to be confirmed by follow-up
The CT-PET demonstrates lung fields to be asymmetric due to previous atypical pulmonary resection with some metal clips in correspondence of which seems to be a nodule with intense carbohydrate metabolism (Figs. 67.2, 67.3). This mass shows fibrotic branches that are related to the posterolateral pleura, which appears thickened although with no pathological metabolism.
