This issue is the second part to Dr Brandao’s two-part series on advanced imaging of brain tumors. The prior issue focused on adult brain tumors, while this issue focuses on pediatric brain neoplasms. This issue provides a superb review for neuroradiologists and radiologists who routinely interpret neuroimaging studies. Equally important, this issue also integrates the latest information from the updated World Health Organization classification. The updated classification makes substantive and important changes by integrating imaging and molecular and genetic markers into brain tumor classification and staging. The new classification especially impacts medulloblastomas.
I want to both thank and congratulate all of these world-class authors for making the effort to integrate the latest information into their superbly written articles. This issue will be a “ready” reference for years to come.
Finally, once again, I want to thank “Superwoman”! Lara, you are a wonderful friend and colleague! Thank you again for your unparalleled contributions to our scientific and educational community.
