Thorax
There will be three questions on imaging procedures for the thorax in the advanced-level examination for MRI. These will cover the following areas
- Brachial plexus
- Cardiovascular
- Breast
Q69 To minimize pulsatile flow motion artifacts, cardiac images are acquired by:
(a) | Taking the patient’s pulse, calculating the heart rate in beats per minute, then entering this data into the imaging system
(b) | Attaching ECG leads, monitoring the cardiac cycle and triggering the pulse sequence from each R wave
(c) | Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation
(d) | None of the above |
Q70 Image 8 was acquired in the:
(a) | Axial imaging plane
(b) | Sagittal imaging plane |
