120 The finding of fluid-fluid levels in a bone lesion has been most frequently described in aneurysmal bone cysts, but is a nonspecific finding usually related to prior hemorrhage. The finding is seen in both benign and malignant lesions, but the greater the proportion of the lesion containing fluid-fluid levels, the more likely the lesion is benign.1
