Vaginal cysts, although they can occur near the urethral region, can usually be differentiated from other periurethral cysts such as urethral diverticula. This distinction is necessary for differential diagnosis. Vaginal cysts should be distinguishable from other periurethral cysts because they arise from the vagina. Mesonephric (e.g., Gartner’s duct) cysts are usually vaginal and Bartholin’s cysts are vulvar. Epidermal inclusion cysts could be vaginal or vulvar in location.1 Vaginal cysts can be divided into four types:2
