Material and Methods


The size of the adenoid pad ( Table 6.3 ) was assessed on a mid-sagittal MRI slice in 189 patients (77 male and 112 female); of the total study population, 61 were younger than 20 years (sex differentiation in the subpopulation was not presented). The thickness of the adenoid pad was measured along a line through the pharyngeal tubercle constructed perpendicular to the anterior clival surface ( Fig. 6.4 ).
