43-year-old man with cough and dyspnea


image Radiologic Findings


HRCT (lung window) (Figs. 127.1A, 127.1B) demonstrates peripheral areas of ground glass opacity involving the upper, middle, and lower lung zones with fine, peripheral, and subpleural reticulation. An area of traction bronchiectasis is demonstrated in the left mid lung (Fig. 127.1A).

Hard Metal Pneumoconiosis (Cobalt-Related)

• Desquamative Interstitial Pneumonia (DIP)


• Interstitial Lung Disease of Other Etiologies


• Immunoglobulin (IgE)-Mediated Asthma


• Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis (HP)
