I have the distinct pleasure to welcome and thank Dr Varsha Joshi for editing this issue of Neuroimaging Clinics on the paranasal sinuses. I have known Dr Joshi for over 15 years when she was a Visiting Research Fellow working under me at University of North Carolina. It has been very enjoyable to see her grow into an internationally recognized head and neck radiologist. She is one of the brightest minds in the field of Head and Neck Imaging and has established herself as one of the leaders of imaging in India.
The issue is a practical and concise monograph comprising eight articles covering topics ranging from anatomy, pathology, and to current trends in sinonasal imaging. There are separate articles covering the anterior skull base as well and posttreatment imaging. I congratulate the authors on their excellent articles and thank them for their efforts in contributing to such an outstanding issue.
Final thought…one of the greatest pleasures a mentor can have is seeing their mentees achieve excellence. But the greatest satisfaction is watching those you train surpass their own expectations and the talents of their mentors. Congratulations Varsha! It has been a privilege to play a small role in your success!
