10 Transducer Manipulation

Nomenclature for transducer manipulation has been previously established.¹ Note that this nomenclature does not include specification of direction (e.g., rock back, rotate clockwise, tilt proximal). To control the transducer for interventions, the hands of the operator must be very close to the skin surface. The ulnar aspect of the transducer hand should rest on the skin of the patient.
